Partney Choir

When words fail, Music speaks

Partney Choir is one of the leading small village choirs in East Lincolnshire. With 35 members, including a significant Junior section, the choir sings in 4-part harmony, with a wide-ranging repertoire from traditional church Music to Folk and Comic songs. The Choir members firmly believe that music is all about having fun, and our weekly rehearsals are usually a great laugh. But somehow, come Concert time, the musical output is high quality.

Partney itself is one of a number of small villages on the edge of Lincolnshire’s Wolds, near Spilsby, on the way from Lincoln to Skegness. There are 9 Churches in our Group: Ashby (by Partney), Aswardby, Candlesby, Dalby, Langton (by Spilsby), Partney, Sausthorpe, Scremby, and Skendleby.

For many years, the churches in the Partney Group have had joint services of worship. A group Choir has been in operation for over twenty-five years, and is currently at the peak of its’ activity.

Our Musical Director is Margaret White (picture, above), a Primary School Teacher from Partney Church of England Aided Primary School, our sister organisation. She plays Organ, Keyboard, Recorder and Guitar, and often accompanies either Choir or School (or both).
